Migori County Deputy Governor Dr. Mahiri Gimumta today represented The Governor Dr. Ochillo GM Ayacko in the Official opening of a two-day sensitization workshop targeting key county officers. The training that brought together steering and technical committees, directors, sub-county and ward administrators, municipality managers, and procurement officers, all of whom play a vital role in implementing government programs at different levels.
The sessions focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge on public participation guidelines, project stock-taking, and the Public Investment Management Framework as guided by the State Department of Devolution. This was aimed at ensuring that county officials are well-prepared to plan, manage, and monitor development projects in a transparent and accountable manner.
By investing in such capacity-building initiatives, Migori County continues to demonstrate its commitment to inclusive governance. Strengthening public participation and accountability frameworks ensures that citizens remain actively involved in decision-making while also promoting prudent use of resources to achieve sustainable development.
