Migori County Public Service Board Chairman, Eng. David Ochola, represented Governor Dr. Ochilo Ayacko in a high-level meeting with Skyward Airlines’ top officials in Nairobi.
The discussions focused on forging a dynamic partnership for the forthcoming Piny Luo Festival, while also exploring avenues for a long-term collaboration between Skyward Airlines and the Migori County Government.
The Piny Luo Festival, a flagship cultural event, is expected to draw a large number of visitors to Migori County. With Skyward Airlines already enjoying a strong presence in Migori Town, the County Government sees the airline as an ideal partner to facilitate seamless travel for guests attending the festival.
“This collaboration is not just about transportation; it is about strengthening ties, elevating the festival’s profile, and creating lasting socio-economic benefits for our community,” noted Eng. Ochola after the meeting.
Accompanying him at the talks were Prof. Rose Ogwang, Chief Officer in charge of Gender, Culture and Social Services; Mr. Dennis Wasike, Liaison Officer; and Mrs. Jane Oreje.
The County Government expressed confidence that this partnership has the potential to position the Piny Luo Festival as a premier cultural attraction while boosting Migori’s visibility on both national and international platforms.
