The County Government of Migori is proud to host the 5th Edition of the Piny Luo Cultural Festival, a grand celebration of the rich and diverse Luo cultural heritage, from December 14th to 17th, 2025. Set in the heart of Migori County, this year’s edition will take place across iconic venues including Sony Sports Ground and the historical Thimlich Ohinga Caves, offering an immersive and memorable experience for all attendees.

This annual cultural extravaganza is a dynamic platform that unites the Luo community across Siaya, Homabay, Kisumu, Migori, and the diaspora. It is more than a festival—it is a movement to reignite a shared identity rooted in resilience, unity, and cultural pride. Through vibrant showcases of tradition, storytelling, art, and sport, the festival pays tribute to the enduring legacy of the Luo forefathers, whose historic migration from Bahr-el-Ghazal in South Sudan to Nam Lolwe continues to inspire.
