Migori County Deputy Governor Dr. Joseph Mahiri Gimunta officially launched the distribution of seeds and tractors in preparation for the upcoming long rains and new planting season.This program aim to lower production costs and facilitate plowing, ultimately securing our food supply.
The distribution of seeds and tractors is part of the County Government’s broader strategy to revitalize the agriculture sector, which has been neglected in recent years. The program is expected to benefit thousands of small-scale farmers who have been struggling with low yields and lack of access to modern farming technology. Migori County Government is optimistic that this program will transform the region’s agriculture sector and make it more productive, resilient, and sustainable in the long run
