H.E Governor Ochilo Ayacko and The People of Migori County Mourns Former Rongo MP and Cabinet Minister Hon. Dalmas Otieno Anyango

Migori Governor H.E. Dr. Ochilo Ayacko has joined leaders and residents of Migori County in mourning the passing of Hon. Dalmas Otieno Anyango, the former Rongo Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister.

In his condolence message, Governor Ayacko described the late Hon. Otieno as a visionary leader and devoted servant of the people, whose contributions to the development of Rongo, Migori County, and the nation will be remembered for generations.

“On behalf of the people of Migori County and my office, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the late Hon. Dalmas Otieno Anyango. His untimely passing is a profound loss to our community and to the nation,” Governor Ayacko stated.

He lauded Hon. Otieno’s unwavering commitment to advancing the welfare of his constituents and his impactful leadership both as a legislator and as a Cabinet Minister.

“Hon. Otieno’s commitment to the development of our region and his tireless advocacy for the welfare of the people will always be remembered. His contributions, from effective leadership to his selfless service, have left an indelible mark on the lives of many,” the Governor added.

Governor Ayacko prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved family, urging them to take solace in the cherished memories and the great legacy left behind.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may the family he leaves behind find comfort in the cherished memories he created with them. Nind gi kwe Okewa,” he concluded.

 

Hon. Dalmas Otieno served the people of Rongo Constituency for several terms and held various Cabinet positions in the Government of Kenya. He will be remembered as a distinguished statesman, reformist, and mentor to many leaders within and beyond Migori County.
