Today, the NAVCDP team held a training session for staff from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Blue Economy at the Miyare Agriculture Training Centre in Rongo, focusing on a digitally enabled agripreneurship model. The training was officially inaugurated by Waziri Lucas Mosenda and Chief Officer Mr. Elvis Kithine, underscoring the importance of this initiative.
The participating staff members are equipped to train and supervise agripreneurs as they implement this model within the farming community. The agrepreneurs are expected to mobilise farmers into CIGs ,FPOs and SACCOs.The session covered essential topics, including hybrid extension architecture, the critical role of the agripreneur, and the use of web and digital applications, as well as the Agripreneur Management System. This comprehensive training aims to empower local agripreneurs with the tools and knowledge necessary for success in a digitally-driven agricultural extension
