Response to public outcry on illegal dump site at Baghdad, Isebania

Migori County Government Department of Environment,Natural Resources and Disaster Management groomed by CECM Hon.Rahab Robi and Chief office Charles Chacha responded swiftly to clear the garbage that was accumulated at Baghdad site.

While addressing the locals CECM environment orded for the closure of the illegal damp station therein citing it’s adverse negative effects to the general public living nearby. She encouraged the locals to guard the site from people who are crossing over from Tanzania and dumping wastes anyhow.

Dr Ochilo Ayacko led government is currently working on a Waste Management Act that will regulate Illegal and crossborder dumpings.
