The Migori County Department of Education, Gender, and Youth Affairs invites public input on a draft policy document.

The County Government of Migori, through its Department of Education, Gender, and Youth Affairs, has officially called upon stakeholders and the general public to submit written memoranda and participate in an upcoming public forum on the Migori County Youth Policy.

The invitation, issued in accordance with Article 10, Article 35, and Article 201(a) of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and Section 87 of the County Governments Act, 2012, seeks to promote transparency, inclusivity, and public engagement in the policy-making process.

According to the notice, the public participation forum will take place on:

Date: Thursday, 19th June 2025

Time: 9:00 a.m.

Venue: ICT Hall, Migori


The forum is part of the County Government’s broader efforts to integrate youth voices into governance and ensure that the emerging policy reflects the real needs and aspirations of young people across the county.

Members of the public, civil society groups, youth organizations, and other stakeholders are encouraged to submit their written memoranda through any of the following channels:

Hand-delivery to the office of the CECM, Education, Gender, and Youth Affairs at the County Government Buildings in Migori Town.

The deadline for all submissions is Tuesday, 24th June 2025.

The draft policy document is currently available to the public on the Migori County Government website: www.migori.go.ke.

In a statement signed by Rahab Robi, the CECM for Education, Gender, and Youth Affairs, the department emphasized the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping a responsive and progressive youth policy.
