This morning, officers from the Agricultural Sector Development Support Programme (ASDSP) paid a courtesy call to Migori County Governor H.E Dr. Ochilo Ayacko at the County office to review the impact of various projects supported by the program and future plans for the people of Migori.
The Agricultural Sector Development Support Programme (ASDSP) has been actively involved in supporting agricultural enterprises in Migori County. One successful case is the Blessed Youth Group Milk Enterprise in Migori town. The ASDSP has provided training, market linkages, and capacity-building support to this group, enabling them to improve their productivity and income in the dairy sector. Another beneficiary of the ASDSP support is Gode Enterprises in Oruba. This enterprise has also received similar assistance from the program. These interventions have helped Gode Enterprises enhance its operations and contribute to the growth and development of the agriculture sector in the county.
During the courtesy call, the officers from the ASDSP briefed Governor Dr. Ochilo Ayacko on the success stories of the program and outlined their plans for the people of Migori. The governor expressed his appreciation for the program’s initiatives and pledged his full support. He encouraged farmers to take advantage of the support provided by the ASDSP and work collectively to uplift the agricultural sector in the county.
