This morning, Hon. Gradus Oluoch Adis, the Migori County Attorney, administered the Oath of Secrecy to over 280 agripreneurs drawn from all corners of the county.
The oath-taking ceremony marked the culmination of a three-day training held across sub-county headquarters, equipping these young men and women with essential skills to support the “Know Your Farmer” initiative. However, this milestone signifies only the beginning of their noble mission to revolutionize agriculture in Migori County’s villages.
Agripreneurship, a collaborative program between the county and national governments, aims to empower agripreneurs to collect vital farmers’ data. This data will guide the provision of farm inputs and resources, ensuring tailored support to enhance agricultural productivity.
Beyond data collection, the agripreneurs will act as change agents, bringing innovative technologies, resources, and market opportunities directly to farmers. Their efforts are expected to catalyze a transformation from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture, contributing to the long-term economic and social development of rural communities.
This program underscores the commitment of Migori County and its partners to drive sustainable agricultural growth and improve the livelihoods of its residents.
