This morning, Migori County Secretary Dr. Oscar Olima, on behalf of the Governor, graced a two-days leadership and administrative training of Chairpersons and Managers of the County vocational training institutions from Migori and Nyamira counties.
This training, that brought together more than 200 officers, is aimed at bridging administrative gaps and realigning the decision makers to the ever-changing curriculum dynamics.
In his address, Dr. Olima cited that the County government of Migori is committed to ensuring that vocational institutes in Migori county, are getting relevant technological and financial support, recent being issuance of bursaries to the needy students in vocational institutes, in order to produce the highly needed human capital in various labor markets.
Present were, Nyamira County CECM for Education Emily Ongaga, her Migori counterpart Rahab Robi, Chief Officer Education Prof. Rose Odhiambo, TVET Regional manager Susan Debe among other officials from the two counties.
