Today, Migori County Governor H.E. Dr. Ochilo Ayacko, accompanied by Hon. Tom Odege (Nyatike) and Hon. Mark Nyamita (Uriri), paid a courtesy call to the Principal Secretary, State Department for Energy, Mr. Alex Wachira. The meeting focused on several key issues, including the Gogo Hydropower Plant project, compensation for families affected by the project, planned CSR activities, and the electrification of surrounding communities.

Governor Ayacko expressed gratitude to the Principal Secretary and the Ministry for prioritizing the Gogo Hydropower Plant project, which is set to commence in the next financial year. The presence of KenGen Managing Director, Eng. Peter Njenga, highlighted the collaborative efforts towards the project’s success.

The team is scheduled to visit Gogo on Friday, December 20, 2024, to issue title deeds to the affected families, marking a significant step in advancing community development and sustainability.
