Migori County Governor H.E Dr. Ochilo Ayacko paid a visit to the showground, interacted with various exhibitors, and officially declared the Migori County Agricultural Show open. The county is hosting this year’s agricultural show at Lichota Grounds.
The theme for the show is “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Growth”
In his speech, Governor Ayacko highlighted the importance of agriculture in the county’s economy and how the show is meant to showcase the latest advancements in the sector. He also urged farmers to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices to mitigate the effects of climate change on their farms.
The agricultural show features exhibitions by various stakeholders in the agriculture sector, including farmers, agribusinesses, research institutions, and government agencies. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about modern farming practices, new agricultural technologies, and products and services in the agricultural industry.
