H.E Dr. G.M Ochilo Ayacko met the leadership of the National Lands Commission (NLC), led by the Chairperson Mr. Gershom Otachi, at the Commission’s office in Nairobi to receive a report from the technical team of surveyors and land administration officers from NLC who visited Muhuru Bay last month upon the request for Advisory by the Governor on the Status of Land Parcel No. Kadem/Muhuru Bay/752 that was formerly reserved for East African Railways and Harbors Corporation and later transferred to Kenya Railways Corporation.

The property has since been earmarked for the establishment of a pier by Kenya Ports Authority and therefore the need to define clear boundaries for KPA to proceed with the project.

In his remarks, Mr. Otachi committed to resolve the matter swiftly and commended the Governor for his proactiveness in ensuring that public land is utilised for the rightful purpose.

The Governor was accompanied by the County Secretary and Head of Public Service Dr. Oscar Olima, CECM Lands and Physical planning Mercy Okwanyo, Chief Officer for Lands and Physical planning Andrew Mwera among other County Government employees.
