Governor Ayacko’s Initiative Boosts Education
In a significant move to support education, Governor Dr.Ochilo Ayacko has established a bursary program aimed at assisting needy students within Migori County. The initiative took a crucial step forward today as the Ward Adhoc Committee was officially formed and members received appointment letters, signaling the commencement of bursary vetting.
The newly appointed committee members underwent an induction workshop, where they were familiarized with their roles and responsibilities. They were equipped with bursary application forms to distribute across various wards, enabling students to apply for educational support.
To ensure a streamlined process, all interested applicants are required to submit their application forms and relevant documents to the Migori County Education Support Committee on/before the 29th of January 2024. This deadline underscores the commitment to prompt and efficient handling of applications.
The induction workshop was a collaborative effort, with the County Executive Committee Member for Education, Hon Rahab Robi, presiding over the event. Chief Officer Prof Rose Odhiambo, Director of Education Mr. Edward Okello, and other key stakeholders were also present, emphasizing the collective commitment to enhancing education in the region.
Governor Ayacko’s proactive approach to education demonstrates a dedication to fostering learning opportunities for the less privileged. The establishment of the Ward Adhoc Committee and the subsequent induction workshop mark significant milestones in realizing the governor’s vision for an educated and empowered Migori County.
