The 3 tonnes of rice are aimed at boosting the production of rice to an output of 7000 tones of rice an increament from the 5140 tones that were produced last year within the scheme.

Farmers who received the seeds expressed their joy and appreciation to the county government under the leadership of HE.Governor Ochilo Ayacko for his continued support and investment within the agricultural sector and specifically the growth of rice within the scheme.

They also asked the country government to help them secure a ready market and favourable market prices for their products once they are harvested as it’s the main problem that they’re currently facing.
