Chief Officer Michael Midwa Presides Over Official Opening of Final CDDC Training Cluster

The final cluster of the Community-Driven Development Committee (CDDC) training under the National Agricultural Value Chains Development Project (NAVCDP) has officially commenced. Outgoing Chief Officer for Agriculture, Mr. Michael Midwa, inaugurated the session, which brings together representatives from 10 wards: 7 from Nyatike and 3 from Kuria West.
This training marks the conclusion of a series of capacity-building initiatives aimed at empowering grassroots leaders to oversee and implement agricultural development projects effectively. Mr. Midwa reiterated the importance of integrity, accountability, and community-focused leadership as key pillars for the success of NAVCDP and Migori County’s agricultural agenda.
Participants in this final session will benefit from in-depth training on grant management, resource utilization, sustainable farming practices, and effective governance, ensuring they are well-equipped to drive community transformation and agricultural growth.
