The Department today held its 3rd Quarter CASSCOM meeting to discuss and approve partners activities planned for the sector by various partners that will be engaging County farmers in various sub sectors.
The partners included #RippleEffect targeting Uriri, Nyatike and Kuria East, Aquarech targeting cage farming and fish marketing, #Tupande that is bridging the gap in improving access to farm inputs and general extension through their input dukas located in various sub counties, #KABDP that is succeed ASDSP II to strengthen aggregation and market access of the Priority Value chain actors in the county.
The well attended meeting chaired by Waziri Hon Lucas Mosenda was attended by CASSCOM members from the County government, County Assembly, private sector, NGO world, Civil society, farmer and PWD Reps among others.
The CASSCOM committee is responsible for ensuring harmony and coordination in the sector. The County will remain open to new partners in the county as we commit to ensuring we play our role of guaranteeing a conducive environment for our partners to operate and support our farmers.
